Having spent a year in Busan, I've had the chance of experiencing the magic of spring blossoms in South Korea once. Although I was not able to see all the places I planned to, I was happy for the beautiful spots I visited. With numerous locations to choose from, I've made a list of the top places for cherry blossom viewing in Busan that you won't want to miss!

Gaegeum Cherry Blossom Culture Street
(개금벚꽃문화길)
Gaegeum Cherry Blossom Culture street is located up on a hill in a residential area of Busan. I loved this location the most because it is not very crowded, and there are lots of cute spots along the road where you can take beautiful cherry blossom photographs. It's also a very cute and quiet neighborhood to just walk around and find hidden cherry blossom spots.

- How to get to Gaegeum Cherry Blossom Culture Street: By subway: Get off at Gaegeum Station exit 5, walk for about 20 minutes, or take the bus 167 and get off at Jurye Girls High School
Namcheon-dong Cherry Blossom Street at Samik Beach Town Apartment (삼익비치타운아파트)
Namcheon-dong is a residential area nearby Gwangalli Beach. The Samik Beach Town Apartment area is known for its beautiful cherry blossoms. As you walk through the residential area, you'll find yourself surrounded by beautiful cherry trees.

Oncheoncheon Park (온천천시민공원)
Oncheoncheon Park is also another must-see spot for cherry blossoms during spring in Busan. The stream is surrounded by cherry trees, and there are beautiful areas to take pictures. Oncheoncheon is also famous for its cafe street, where you can enjoy a relaxing afternoon while taking in the spring breeze and stunning cherry blossom views.

Dalmaji Hill Dalmaji Hill is another popular location for viewing Busan's cherry blossoms against the backdrop of the sea.

Samnak Ecological Park (삼락생태공원)& Maekdo Eco Park (맥도생태공원)The Samnak Ecological Park has a walking trail full of cherry blossoms. Generally, both parks have less tourists, so they're more quiet places to enjoy the spring.

Jinhae (진해)
Jinhae is a small district in Changwon city, South Korea. It's very close to Busan and easy to get to. The district is famous for its annual Jinhae Cherry Blossom Festival. It's held every year when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and it attracts people from all over Korea. I visited last year, and it was breathtaking!

I recommend going during the weekdays, because the weekend will be extremely crowded. There are actually many different spots where to see the cherry blossoms in Jinhae. You'll find cherry blossoms literally everywhere, but the best viewing spots are:
Yeojwacheon Stream (여좌천)
There is a wooden walkaway on both sides of the stream offering a beautiful view of the cherry blossoms all above the stream. There're are many bridges where you can take photos with the cherry blossoms arch in the background.

Gyeonghwa Station (경화역) Gyeonghwa Station is an old train station that has now become the second most famous location to visit for the Cherry Blossom Festival in Jinhae. They have set up an old train on the train tracks, and it's a very famous photo spot.

Another location I visited and really liked was Jinhae NFRDI Environment Eco-Park (진해내수면 환경생태공원)
It's a park nearby Yeojwacheon Stream, there're lots of cherry trees and also a small lake, perfect to take photos!

On your way back, don't forget to stop by Jinhae Bakery (진해제과), to try their famous cherry-blossom shaped sweets!

Getting to Jinhae for the Cherry Blossom Festival:
- From Busan: Busan Sasang Terminal (서부산터미널) → Jinhae (진해). You can purchase the bus tickets directly at the bus terminal kiosk or machine. There is a bus leaving every 15 minutes, and the ride is about one hour long. You have to get off at the last stop which will be Jinhae Bus Terminal.
- From Seoul: Seoul Nambu Bus Terminal (서울남부) → Jinhae (진해). There are four buses leaving throughout the day (08:30; 11:30; 16:30; 20:00). It takes 4 hours and a half, and the price is about 35,000 won.
